What is Anxiety?

I believe we are made with everything we need. And there is not an exception for anxiety. Anxiety is good. We need it sometimes. It is a survival programming in our bodies that allows us to perceive and react to danger.
 
Anxiety is defined as a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. 
But it is also defined as a nervous disorder characterized by a state of excessive uneasiness and apprehension, typically with compulsive behavior or panic attacks.
So it seems anxiety is good, until it is not. What I mean is this. When anxiety is present in the right situation it is actually a blessing. However, when you are experiencing anxiety and there is no danger, anxiety can eventually become an anxiety condition. 
The worry about perceived danger is where an anxiety condition begins. This worry becomes a behavior (or in other words a habit). And from this habit comes automatic responses that create a cycle that seems impossible to get out of. However, as with any habit, you can absolutely get yourself off the anxiety merry-go-round. That is why this program was created. To help you help yourself be free from anxiety.
